Dolfinos, winner of the Swiss Startups Award, is a start-up with the aim to improve violinists’ health and performance. We developed the first fully adjustable All-in-One Violin Rest. Our patented technology and design stimulate a healthier posture, enable more effortless playing and let the violin vibrate freely.

The company is based in Zürich with a product development office in Uttwil. We are a team of four people with a multitude of talents, extensive start-up experience and a fun/ambition-balanced attitude. We are supported by partner organizations, an expert advisory board and investors.

Our prototype testers urge us to make our product available a soon as possible. To make this happen we need your contribution.

Start-up Business Developer (80-100%)

Focus Marketing & Sales

You will be working on bringing Dolfinos’ first product to market. This includes, but is not limited to marketing & sales strategy planning and execution, and sales content creation (text, image, video). It is likely that you will work with social media, newsletters, WordPress and Kickstarter.

Why do we need you?

This year we will go through one of the most challenging phase of any start-up, the market entry. We will grow our revenue from a few elite violinists to a larger audience. You will be part of the core team to co- manage and execute activities in this phase.

Who are you?

You are a fast-learning individual who is eager to execute and move forward. Through your experience and studies you are familiar with some of the following fields: sales, marketing, communication, brand management and journalism. You have design, presentation and computer skills. As a rather outgoing & extroverted person, you enjoy storytelling in writing and in speaking. You are fluent in German & English, have project management or startup experience and are a proactive and positive person. Female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply for this position as we strive to create a diverse team. Playing the violin is an asset but not a requirement.

In this traineeship, you will experience and learn about the most challenging and important part of a start-up company. This experience is highly valuable in whatever future goals you want to achieve in your personal and professional life. You will be closely working with Robin, who is an experienced marketeer and start-up founder. We offer big development potential, space for your own initiatives and the option to grow into the role of a co-founder. You will work closely with three experienced entrepreneurs. Your working hours and location are flexible (majority in Zürich). You will receive a trainee level salary and participate in our goal-based bonus program.


Swiss work permit required. Starting date: As soon as possible but no later than 1. June 2017.

Duration: 6 months, with the possibility to extend and/or transform to part-time or full-time employment.
